P-S2 The Quiet Mind: Meditation as a Psy Foundation

About Course

Every tradition that has ever worked seriously with inner perception starts in the same place. Not with special techniques or unusual states. With quiet. That is where this begins. Not because quiet is peaceful or relaxing — though it may be both — but because something specific happens to perception when the mind settles. Something that does not happen any other way. This course is about what that is, and how to get there reliably, without it taking years of dedicated practice to achieve.

Every advanced psychic skill rests on the ability to quiet mental noise. Drawing from Tibetan, Yogic, and Western contemplative traditions, this course gives you a complete practical meditation toolkit. Breath-anchoring, body scan, open awareness, and focused attention techniques are specifically chosen to widen your psychic bandwidth. Sessions are short and designed for busy lives.

The course covers what modern brain research confirms about what settling the mind does to perceptual sensitivity — including findings on how regular contemplative practice changes the brain’s filtering function and increases sensitivity to subtle information. From there it teaches three distinct types of meditative attention that matter for psi work — concentrated attention, open awareness, and the relaxed sustained presence that sits between the two. Five minutes daily is enough to build something real. Consistency matters far more than duration at this stage.

What Will You Learn?

  • Apply three distinct meditative techniques — breath anchoring, body scan, and open awareness — each chosen specifically for its contribution to psychic perceptual sensitivity
  • Sustain a consistent five-minute daily practice that develops over time rather than requiring constant motivation to maintain
  • Recognise the specific quality of open, receptive awareness that underlies psi performance — and reliably find it in a short settling practice
  • Use the meditative state as a direct perceptual instrument: holding a question in open awareness and recording what arrives before the analytical mind processes it
  • Respond to the most common practice difficulties — persistent thoughts, restlessness, dry sessions — without treating them as failures
