Yes — and in some ways they’re designed with sceptics in mind. MMI doesn’t ask you to believe anything. The science is presented honestly, including what’s contested. Several courses — particularly in the S series — are specifically built around evidence and research. S-S1 (The Science of Psi) is the recommended starting point for anyone who wants the data before the practice.

Most Starter courses take two to four hours of listening time. Intermediate courses typically run four to six hours. Advanced and Signature courses are longer. Because everything is self-paced and revisitable, many students take significantly longer — returning to lessons, pausing to practise, and working through material over weeks or months.

Yes. Every course is designed to stand alone. You don’t need to have taken any other MMI course before starting any given one. The catalogue page and the Learning Paths page both offer suggestions for logical sequences, but they’re suggestions — not requirements.

The evidence is more substantial than most people realise — and more contested than its advocates often claim. The most honest answer is: there is a significant body of peer-reviewed research showing effects that are consistently above chance, including decades of government-funded research. No. Belief is not a prerequisite and is not what the courses ask for. What they ask for is honest practice and honest observation. Many students come in sceptical and update their position based on their own experience. Others remain sceptical throughout and still find the practices useful. Both outcomes are legitimate.

Neither, specifically. The courses draw on traditions from many cultures — including Hindu, Tibetan, Western esoteric, and indigenous shamanic — and they also draw on modern scientific research. You don’t need to adopt any particular spiritual or religious framework. The material is presented as practical and experiential, not as doctrine.

The practices taught in MMI courses carry no physical risk when followed as described. For students with a history of psychosis, severe dissociation, or trauma, we recommend consulting a mental health professional before undertaking deep altered states work — specifically K-I1, K-I2, and C-A1. For everyone else, the appropriate approach is curiosity and patience.
